How we've worked with districts like yours.

Curriculum Development

Large Urban Unified School District

Western U.S.

The Challenge

This district needed to replace a decade-old science curriculum across grades 6–8 that no longer aligned to NGSS standards. Teachers reported low engagement and inconsistent pacing across 12 campuses.

What We Did

Apex conducted a full curriculum audit, facilitated a cohort of 18 science teachers through our Expert-Led AI-Assisted development process, and delivered 24 standards-aligned units with embedded formative assessments and teacher guides.

Outcomes

24 units delivered — Across grades 6–8, fully aligned to NGSS
18 teacher cohort — Trained and certified in new curriculum delivery
12 campuses — Consistent pacing and materials district-wide

"Apex didn't just hand us a binder. They built something our teachers actually wanted to use."

AI Training Courses

Mid-Size Community School District

Central U.S.

The Challenge

This district wanted to introduce AI literacy across grades 9–12 but had no existing computer science pathway and limited staff capacity to develop new coursework from scratch.

What We Did

Apex scoped and developed a two-semester AI Literacy sequence — covering foundational concepts, ethical frameworks, and applied tools — and delivered a full professional development series for 22 teachers across four high schools.

Outcomes

2-semester course sequence — Grades 9–12, ready for district adoption
22 teachers trained — Across four high school campuses
850+ students enrolled — In year one of the new AI Literacy pathway

"We went from zero to a full AI pathway in one school year. The Apex team made that possible."

Assistant Superintendent for Instruction
Robotics Programs

Growing Suburban Independent School District

Southern U.S.

The Challenge

This district wanted to expose middle school students to robotics and engineering concepts but lacked the equipment, trained staff, and structured curriculum to launch a sustainable program.

What We Did

Apex delivered a six-week Robotics Workshop Series across three middle school campuses — providing all equipment, trained facilitators, and a standards-aligned curriculum that teachers could continue independently after the engagement.

Outcomes

3 campuses served — Simultaneous six-week workshop series
600+ students — Participated in hands-on robotics programming
Program continued — Teachers sustained the program independently in year two

"The kids were hooked from day one. By week three, they were teaching each other."

Grant Services

Regional School District

Eastern U.S.

The Challenge

This district had strong programs but had never successfully pursued federal grant funding. Their previous application for Title IV-A funding was rejected due to a weak needs assessment and non-compliant budget.

What We Did

Apex conducted a full district needs assessment, rewrote the Title IV-A application with a compliant budget and strengthened narrative, and identified two additional state grant opportunities aligned to the district's technology and equity programs.

Outcomes

$480,000 awarded — Title IV-A Student Support and Academic Enrichment grant
2 additional applications filed — State technology and equity grants in pipeline
First federal award — In the district's history

"We'd tried twice on our own and failed. Apex got us funded on the first attempt."

What Districts Say

Heard from the field.

"Apex understands how districts actually work. They don't come in with a one-size-fits-all solution — they listen first, then build something that fits."

Chief Academic OfficerLarge Urban School District

"The grant services team is exceptional. They found opportunities we didn't know existed and filed applications that were polished and compliant from the start."

Director of Finance & OperationsMid-Size Community School District

"Our teachers came out of the curriculum development process feeling ownership over the materials. That's rare. That's what makes it stick."
